Strong, shiny & lustrous hair is a sign of healthy hair. Everyone wants strong unbreakable hair. Strong hair doesn’t require any special treatment or care. Maintaining healthy & strong hair isn’t easy these days. Just like skin, hair also requires good attention. Everybody doesn’t have strong hair. You need to maintain your hair to be in a good health. Rushing days give you no choice but a simple hair wash & oiling some times. On special occasions, you want your hair to look best & your hair is not in good condition. Thus you indulge in chemical or styling products to have beautiful looking hair. You may get the best-looking hair for one day. But sometimes this temporary result may end in chaos for hair. 1 Keep the scalp clean– If you have a clean scalp, half of your hair problem will be solved. Because dull, dry, irritated or itchy scalp can cause you a bundle of hair problems. To keep your scalp clean you need to wash your hair twice a week provided you oil it regularly.

You either can use a herbal, natural shampoo or homemade. Every shampoo has its ingredients label you can check these harmful ingredients in shampoo before purchasing it. Although so many big brands do claim for having no harmful ingredients, the product still does have a high level of chemicals that can be harmful. Choose the product with minimum chemical ingredients or opt for ayurvedic or herbal shampoos.

After cleaning you should massage your scalp with oil. You can use any oil of your choice. If you have any scalp condition such as dandruff you should use the oil accordingly. When you have dandruff, there is no other solution other than to keep it clean & then massage your scalp with oil. You can use dandruff shampoo, but if you don’t oil it, the scalp will be dry &, itchy. The dryness definitely will increase dandruff, no matter what shampoo you use. The scalp needs moisturizer (which you can have from oil massage) & cleanness simultaneously.

Indian gooseberry and neem juice

ingredients-

Indian gooseberry (avla)

Neem leaves

Method –

Take few Indian gooseberries & neem leaves. Add some water, grind it .make the mixture in juice form. Strain it. Take cotton, dip into juice, apply on the scalp .keep it for at least 45 minutes. Then rinse it with water only or can use shampoo.

Fenugreek seeds & spikenard (jatamasi) extracts

Ingredients-

Fenugreek seeds

Whole Spikenard

Method –

Soak some fenugreek seeds & 1 or 2 whole spikenards overnight. Grind fenugreek seeds & spikenerds with water (grinding spikenerd in powder is hard so there is a readymade powder available in the market). Strain the mixture, apply the extracts with cotton on the scalp. Leave it for one hour, rinse it with water.

3 Stick to a hair routine — Any good result needs persistency. Keeping hair oiled or scalp clean or using hair remedies or even a good diet. Everything needs to be in continuity. Sometimes tiredness or workload can be an obstacle for hair routine. To unfollow the routine for some days is fine but unfollowing the routine for so long can break the cycle of healthy hair & cause hair problems. Even a Spray of boiled rosemary leaves is also beneficial for the strength of hair. A hair diet can be followed easily with protein snacks.

4 Exercise -Doing exercise is important. As it circulates blood flow faster in the scalp. It promotes nutrients more efficiently to the scalp. In hair health regulating blood circulation is important. Although the best method for scalp blood circulation is a headstand, still regular exercise is so much beneficial for thinning or falling hair.

Attractive looking package doesn’t necessarily mean to deliver you the best. Choose natural products over fancy ones. Some of the products you can make at home. To wash -You can use dried soap nut powder (aritha), dried embelica powder(embelica) & dried acacia concinna powder (shikakai) as shampoo.

To Condition- Hair conditioners are hair luxury. It’s not always mandatory to buy from the market. There are plenty of ingredients at home that can be used as hair conditioners like banana, honey, yoghurt, milk, aloe vera, buttermilk with Multani mitti. You can mix these ingredients according to your hair type. Egg & honey can be applied together, as it’s a very old hair remedy for conditioning hair. (if your hair is dry skip the egg white as it dries hair more, just add the yellow part of the egg ).

To oil-Home made hair oil are the best hair oil for so many years. Behind each homemade hair oil, there’s always grandma stories. Making homemade hair oil is easier than before. There are lots of recipes available on the internet & the ingredients which previously was hard to get now days are easier to find anywhere.

There is a long list of homemade oils like curry leaves, neem leaves, hibiscus flower, onion, fenugreek seeds, kalonji, avala . You can pick anyone to prepare hair oil. Homemade hair oil does give you more benefit than the market because of its purity. This is the easiest way for prolonged hair care.

6 Essential vitamins — Strong health comes from within. May it be skin or hair or the overall health. Every vitamin is essential for the body. For stronger hair, there are vitamin A, B, C, D, E, protein, zinc, biotin, niacin, zinc, magnesium, iron which should be taken regularly. Every vitamin is necessary. But hair needs the protein most. So you should not skip your protein intake.

Finally, Following only one way or remedy for strong hair won’t help you. You should consider every step to maintain hair health. Even if you are eating healthy every day, you still require to exercise to get the maximum benefit from food. Each step or way of maintaining hair health is interrelated to each other. &Constant observation of hair is needed for steady health of hair & slowing down the use of hair styling products will be a bonus point.
