This another awe-inspiring movie is made by Christopher Nolan in 2010. Interstellar has both, science

& fiction but inception is all about the dream world, dream theft. It's about controlling the conscious and subconscious mind simultaneously; not only your own but others’ too. Inception analyses dream science. Dreams do exist so does the idea of inception- giving people dreams. The White bear technique of renowned psychologist Daniel M Wenger can do this idea possible. In this subconscious rooted movie, Cobb plays with the mid-brain mechanism for an irresistible business deal which is offered by business magnate Ken Watanabe as Mr. Saito to Leonardo DiCaprio as Dom Cobb who knows how to manipulate other’s REM sleep to extract the information & then he goes to maybe the toughest level, to implant an idea within client’s regular paradigm.

An all time a-list performer & lucid dreamer himself Leonardo DiCaprio portrays a role with a minute delineation of involuted mind who implants an idea called the inception.

3. ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF SPOTLESS MIND

What happens when you want to forget your ex totally from deep within your memory. But you don’t know it's stuck deep inside your brain. Mitigating with brain functions to erase ex’ memory is the plot idea of director Michel Gondry's this sci-fi romance flick. It's a beautiful portrayal of knowing the unknowns of the brain‘s high-octane convolution written by Charlie Kaufman. Clementine (Kate Winslet) wants to forget her ex- Joel Barish (Jim Carry) literally or technically. To imply this Clementine goes for an option that has never have been applied, a memory erasure procedure. Joel Barish is heartbroken after knowing this, he also goes for this procedure under rude awakening when only he gets to know his subliminal side of affection. 

In this sci-fi movie, the expressions of Joel & Clementine are so genuine in ameliorating their selves who have gone through the novel memory-erasing procedure.

4. MATRIX

Matrix was released in 1999 directed by the Wachowskis sisters, It was a turning point for science fiction movies. Internet was still a novel word for everybody. Although the story is about the dark side of cyber intelligence. Keanu Reeves as Neo, Carrie-Anne Moss as trinity & Laurence Fish bourne as Morpheus fix matrix with a polished yet intense performance. Neo is a hacker who has to save the world from the dominance of machines. The movie is undoubtedly super stylish with all its techniques & even storyline. All the high-speed visuals are awestricken, especially the iconic scene when Neo dodges the bullet. Keanu Reeves’ performance gained an advantage to ignore some logic. & undeniably, for decades this movie has been a trendsetter.

5. ANNIHILATION

Annihilation is the second movie directed by Alex Garland after a hit Ex Machina. It’s an adaptation of Jeff Vender Meer’s novel the southern reach trilogy. This sci-fi movie is full of psychedelic experiences where no boundaries are set to define the beauty and the beast of the movie. The flow is neutral to maintain the grounded science. Annihilation portrays lots of twists when the advancement of science is merged with human psychology to access biology. The story starts when Leena (Natalie Portman) and her team go into “the shimmer” a place called area x which is contaminated while a meteor landing. Leena has to find out all the answers which are rose by that glittery shimmer that lets no one return once entered. Area x is a land of chimera around the lighthouse that emerged out of meteor landing and ends in weirdness. Annihilation is worth watching if you are willing to explore the altered science of gut-wrenching reel.
